Why does Pure Peak not use MCT oil in CBD tinctures?
Pure Peak chooses not to use MCT oil in its CBD tinctures for pets because MCT oil, often derived from coconut oil, can be problematic for pets. Despite being a “good” fat, MCT oil can still overload a pet's system, leading to gastrointestinal issues such as vomiting, diarrhea, pancreatitis, or anorexia. This risk is especially significant for senior pets, where adding too much fat to their diet could exacerbate health problems. Instead, Pure Peak focuses on using carefully selected ingredients that support overall pet wellness without introducing unnecessary risks.

After using the recommended dose once or twice daily for a couple of weeks, I have noticed an improvement in my cat's demeanor. Cleo has been a bit high-strung due to her past. On top of that, she has experienced nerve pain in her rear leg from a birth injury. We've been able to lower her daily dose of gabapentin with good results (consult with your vet first before changing your animal's medications). Cleo's appetite has also improved! Lastly, the oil they use is very mild. We drop it onto her wet food at meal times, and she eats it right up.
